Each work will be evaluated, discussed, and selected based on the theme, creativity, feasibility, and the author's past achievements.

What’s the background of the “On-site Award”?
The “On-site Award” is jointly funded and established by Matters and the Renaissance Foundation Hong Kong (RFHK). The goal is to fund non-fiction writers to complete short-term projects with potential, which can include but are not limited to documentaries, survey reports, and field studies. In terms of research, the content must be 100% accurate, and all sources must be cited. The "On-site Award” is held quarterly four times a year, and is committed to continuing nurturing and supporting non-fiction writing in the Chinese-language world.
**Note: The selected authors of the first award season must publish their works before April 30, 2022, and the selected works must first be published on Matters. In case of any special circumstances, please contact the Editor or Sponsor in advance.
